USING MURMO

Terms of service

The responsibilities we share when bringing people and plans together.

Last updated:

1. About these terms

Murmo is provided by Wondalabs, a company ("Wondalabs", "we", "us" or "our"). These terms apply to your use of the website at murmo-app.com and the application at app.murmo-app.com.

By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms to the extent they apply to your use. If you act for an organisation, you must have authority to agree on its behalf. You must have the legal capacity or appropriate authorisation to use the service. If you do not agree, do not create an account or use the application.

Any separate written agreement with Wondalabs takes priority for the matters it expressly covers. Nothing in these terms overrides rights or obligations that cannot lawfully be excluded.

2. Your account

Provide accurate account information, keep it up to date and protect your sign-in credentials. Use your own account rather than sharing a login. Let us know at support@murmo-app.com if you suspect unauthorised access.

If you choose Google or another supported sign-in provider, you are responsible for securing that provider account. A successful sign-in identifies your account; your Hub memberships and permissions determine what you can access.

3. Hubs and permissions

A Hub is a workspace managed by an organiser or organisation. Its administrators manage membership, permissions and shared records. You must only access or change information you are authorised to use, and follow lawful instructions from the relevant organiser.

Where supported, you may join more than one Hub and create a separate Hub of your own. Joining a Hub does not make you its owner, give you ownership of its records or authorise you to purchase services on its behalf. Creating your own Hub does not transfer permissions or content from another Hub.

Hub administrators are responsible for inviting appropriate users, assigning access, maintaining accurate operational records and having authority to manage information about participants. Murmo provides coordination tools; the organiser remains responsible for running its activities and making its operational decisions.

4. Your content and data

You and the relevant rights holders retain ownership of the information, files and other content you provide. You give Wondalabs permission to host, store, process, copy and transmit that content as reasonably needed to provide, secure, maintain and support Murmo, carry out your authorised instructions and meet legal obligations.

You must have the necessary rights and permissions to upload and share content, including personal information about other people. Keep content accurate for its intended use and share it only with appropriate recipients. Hub access does not give you permission to reuse someone else's information outside that purpose.

Keep copies of records you need for business, compliance or event continuity. Leaving a Hub or closing an account does not automatically delete organiser-controlled records. Retention and deletion are described in our privacy policy.

5. Acceptable use

Use Murmo lawfully and with respect for other people. You must not:

  • Upload unlawful, fraudulent, threatening or abusive content, infringe intellectual property, or misuse personal or confidential information.
  • Impersonate another person or organisation, misrepresent your authority, or send spam or communications without an appropriate basis.
  • Bypass access controls, access another Hub's information without permission, or attempt to obtain credentials or data you are not entitled to use.
  • Introduce malicious software, disrupt the service, or use automation in a way that damages its security, availability or other users' access.
  • Copy or extract other users' information for unrelated purposes without their authorisation and any required consent.

Report suspected security issues privately to support@murmo-app.com. Seek permission before testing that could affect other users, access personal data or disrupt the service.

6. Privacy and communications

Our privacy policy explains how we collect, use, share and retain personal information, including account and Google sign-in information, and how to make privacy requests. Hub organisers are responsible for their own collection practices and privacy notices.

We may send account, security and service messages needed to operate Murmo. Marketing subscriptions are separate: creating an account or joining a Hub does not itself subscribe you to the Murmo newsletter. Website launch-news registrations do not create an application account.

7. Murmo's intellectual property

Wondalabs and its licensors retain rights in Murmo's software, branding, designs and website materials. Subject to these terms, you may use the service and its outputs for their intended purposes and within your authorised access.

These terms do not transfer ownership of Murmo to you or give permission to present its branding as your own. Open-source software and third-party materials remain subject to their applicable licences. This does not restrict your rights in your own content.

8. Third-party services

Murmo uses providers for hosting, authentication, storage, email and other features. Optional integrations and external links may be subject to the provider's own terms and privacy practices. We do not control independent third-party websites or your accounts with them.

A provider's availability or restrictions may affect a connected feature. This does not exclude any responsibility Wondalabs has under applicable law for services we supply.

9. Availability and pre-launch features

Murmo is developing towards public launch. Features marked preview, beta or pre-launch may be incomplete and may change. Roadmaps and demonstrations describe intended functionality unless we expressly agree otherwise.

We aim to keep the service available and useful, but interruptions can occur for maintenance, faults or circumstances outside our reasonable control. We will give reasonable notice of planned material disruption where practicable.

Check important information before relying on it, including schedules, staffing, travel details and access arrangements. Murmo does not replace the organiser's safety procedures, professional judgement or emergency communications. These practical limitations do not remove your statutory rights.

10. Fees and future plans

These terms do not introduce a fee or authorise a payment. Before you purchase a paid plan, we will disclose the price, billing period, what is included, any renewal arrangements and the applicable cancellation terms for you to agree to.

Future paid plans may be purchased separately for each Hub by an authorised owner or billing contact. An invitation or membership in someone else's Hub does not by itself create a personal subscription or charge. Creating another Hub does not automatically transfer an existing Hub's subscription.

Any future price changes will be communicated in advance for the affected plan. Refunds and other remedies remain available where required by applicable law or agreed plan terms.

11. Suspension and ending use

You can stop using Murmo at any time. Contact support to request account closure or assistance with information you are entitled to retrieve. Hub administrators manage membership; closing your account does not close a Hub or erase records controlled by its organiser.

We may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to address a material breach of these terms, protect users or the service, or comply with law. We will keep the action proportionate and, where practicable, explain the reason and allow an opportunity to resolve the issue. Urgent security risks or legal restrictions may require action without prior notice.

If we discontinue the service, we will provide reasonable notice and an opportunity to retrieve content you are authorised to access where practicable and lawful. Any paid-service obligations and statutory remedies continue to apply.

12. Responsibility and your rights

Each party is responsible for its own conduct and obligations under applicable law. We will provide the service with reasonable care and skill. Users and Hub organisers remain responsible for the accuracy and lawful use of their content and for their own event and business decisions.

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies a consumer guarantee or other right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, including under the Australian Consumer Law where it applies. Any statement about availability, third-party services or pre-launch features is subject to those rights. Contact us if the service has a problem so we can work towards an appropriate remedy.

13. Changes and contact

We may update these terms to reflect changes to Murmo or legal requirements. We will publish the current version here, update the date and give reasonable advance notice of material changes where practicable. Changes will apply prospectively; where your agreement is required, we will seek it. If you do not accept a material change, contact us about ending your use and any applicable plan rights.

For questions, complaints or requests about these terms, contact Wondalabs at support@murmo-app.com. We will consider the concern and try to resolve it with you. This does not prevent either party from exercising legal rights or seeking urgent relief.
